Simple Ultra Sets a New Benchmark in Electric Scooter Range

The biggest highlight of the launch is undoubtedly the Simple Ultra. It becomes India’s first electric scooter to claim a 400 km IDC certified range, thanks to its industry leading 6.5 kWh battery pack, the largest ever fitted on an Indian electric scooter.

Despite its focus on range, Simple Ultra does not compromise on performance. It delivers a top speed of 115 kmph and accelerates from 0 to 40 kmph in just 2.77 seconds, making it one of the fastest electric scooters in the country. Sharing his vision at the launch, Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO of Simple Energy, reiterated that the company’s products are engineered with a clear purpose. He highlighted that Indian commuters have evolving expectations and are no longer satisfied with basic electric mobility solutions. He also added that Simple Energy would surely enter into new segments in upcoming time. Currently, they are devoted and focused on the scooters and this shows their high trust in their products and technology. According to him, Simple Ultra has been developed for riders who seek extreme range without compromise, backed by over four years of in-house R&D and setting a new benchmark with its claimed 400 km IDC range.

Echoing this philosophy, Shreshth Mishra, Co-founder of Simple Energy, emphasised the brand’s commitment to building dependable and future-ready electric scooters. He shared that the Gen 2 lineup has been designed to inspire confidence among riders from day one, combining performance, practicality, and long-term usability. His focus remains on creating products that Indian consumers can trust, while still pushing the boundaries of electric mobility. As India lack the ecosystem for the EVs, they have currently partner for the Simple Loop i.e. Public charging and keen to contribute to develop ecosystem in India.

From an investor’s perspective, Arokiaswamy Velumani expressed strong confidence in Simple Energy’s journey. He stated that his belief in the company is rooted in the founders’ clarity, discipline, and long-term vision. Having worked across multiple industries, he noted that the electric mobility sector is fundamentally different, requiring patience and conviction. What sets Simple Energy apart, according to him, is the team’s unwavering focus on innovation and building products with genuine intent, making his association with the company both meaningful and promising.

Warranty, Charging, and Market Expansion Plans

Reinforcing confidence in its engineering, Simple Energy now offers a lifetime warranty on the motor and battery across its portfolio. The portable 750W home charger supports all models and comes with a separate warranty package.
Looking ahead, the company plans to expand to around 150 dealerships and 200 service centres by March 2026. With IPO preparations underway and a focus on profitability, Simple Energy is clearly gearing up for its next growth phase.
