Simple Energy has entered the family electric scooter segment with the launch of the new Simple Wave in India. Priced from ₹1,09,999, ex-showroom, the new electric scooter is offered in three variants and six models, with four battery options and a claimed IDC range of up to 243 km.
The Simple Wave is designed specifically for Indian families, with a strong focus on practicality, comfort and storage. The range-topping Wave+ gets a 5 kWh battery, 6.4 kW PMSM motor and a claimed top speed of 90 kmph.
Simple Wave Offers Up to 243 km Range
The Simple Wave is available with 5 kWh, 3.7 kWh, 2.7 kWh and 2.2 kWh battery options.
The Wave+ uses the largest 5 kWh battery and delivers a claimed IDC range of 243 km. The 3.7 kWh version offers up to 171 km, while the 2.7 kWh and 2.2 kWh versions offer 132 km and 110 km respectively.

The Wave+ produces 6.4 kW of motor power and 179 Nm of claimed wheel torque, with a top speed of 90 kmph.
Up to 70 Litres of Storage
Practicality is one of the biggest highlights of the Simple Wave.
The scooter offers up to 70 litres of total storage, including a 63-litre under-seat compartment, a 3-litre glovebox and a unique 4-litre auxiliary storage compartment called the Pill.
Simple Energy has also designed the scooter with a 1,347 mm wheelbase, 150 kg payload capacity and a 775 mm seat height.
The scooter offers 175 mm of ground clearance and a claimed 300 mm water wading capability, making it suitable for a variety of urban riding conditions.
Simple Wave Features and Technology
Depending on the variant, the Simple Wave gets either a 7-inch TFT display or a 5-inch EBN display.
TFT-equipped versions offer Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, GPS tracking, call and music controls, USB charging and OTA updates.
Higher variants also get traction control, regenerative braking, hill hold assist, reverse mode, crawl mode and vehicle tracking. Full LED lighting is offered across the range.
The scooter comes with Ride, Eco and ECOX riding modes, while higher variants also receive Sport mode.
Chassis and Charging
The Simple Wave uses a tubular steel frame with telescopic front suspension and progressive twin rear shock absorbers. It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels and uses a front disc and rear drum brake setup with CBS.
The battery and motor are IP67 rated. The range also comes with portable chargers and supports standard as well as fast charging.
The Wave+ can charge from 0 to 80 per cent in as little as 2 hours and 15 minutes using fast charging.
Simple Wave Colours
Depending on the variant, the scooter is available in Pearl White, Coral Red, Twilight Black, Polar Blue, Dolphin Grey and Forest Green.

The Simple Wave Electric Scooter starts at ₹1,09,999, ex-showroom. Bookings are now open through Simple Energy touchpoints and its official website.
Deliveries are scheduled to begin from the last week of September 2026.
The launch has been positioned as Simple Energy’s move into the mainstream family scooter market, putting it in competition with established electric family scooters such as the Ather Rizta, TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak.
