Ultraviolette X 47 Venom Performance Gets Serious

Performance remains at the heart of the new motorcycle.

The new UV LIGHTFURY electric motor produces 30 kW, equivalent to 40 hp, along with a claimed 550 Nm of torque at the wheel.

Ultraviolette claims:

PerformanceX 47 Venom
Peak Power30 kW, 40 hp
Wheel Torque550 Nm
0 to 60 kmph2.7 seconds
0 to 100 kmph 5.9 seconds
Top Speed155 kmph
Maximum IDC Range343 km
Ground Clearance200mm

The 0 to 60 kmph sprint takes just 2.7 seconds, while 100 kmph arrives in a claimed 5.9 seconds.

Perhaps more important for everyday riding is the weight reduction. Ultraviolette says the motorcycle is up to 20kg lighter than the previous generation platform.

The press release lists a kerb weight of 180kg for the motorcycle while current variant information indicates that weight differs depending on battery configuration.

VX 100 Platform Is the Bigger Story

The Ultraviolette X 47 Venom is the first production motorcycle to use the company’s new VX 100 architecture.

This new 100V platform has been designed to improve energy density, thermal performance, charging speeds and overall efficiency without adding unnecessary weight.

The architecture can also support different battery capacities and vehicle configurations, making it scalable for future Ultraviolette products.

That last point is important.

Ultraviolette has confirmed that the VX 100 is not exclusive to the X 47. The company plans to introduce four VX 100 based products over the next 12 months, with future products expected across different motorcycle and scooter categories.

The X 47 Venom is therefore as much a technology showcase for Ultraviolette’s future as it is a new motorcycle.

New SRB 11 Battery Pushes Range to 343 km

At the heart of the top specification X 47 Venom is Ultraviolette’s new SRB 11 battery technology.

The 100V battery configuration is claimed to deliver up to 20 percent greater energy density along with twice the cooling performance.

Ultraviolette has also redesigned the thermal path to dissipate heat up to 50 percent faster. A cast aluminium battery housing combines structural strength and impact protection while helping reduce mass.

The battery system carries IP67 protection against dust and water ingress.

Current specifications confirm an 11 kWh battery on the higher range models, delivering the headline 343 km IDC figure. The 7.5 kWh versions have a claimed IDC range of 227 km.

12 kW DC Fast Charging

Charging is another area where Ultraviolette has pushed the technology forward.

The company claims the X 47 Venom is currently India’s only electric two wheeler capable of supporting 12 kW external DC fast charging.

It also gets a 1.6 kW onboard charger.

The fast charging system includes protection against excessive current, voltage irregularities, high temperature and short circuits.

For performance electric motorcycles, faster charging could become just as important as outright range, particularly for riders looking to use an EV beyond daily city commutes.

Battery Safety Gets a Pyro Fuse

Ultraviolette has also put considerable emphasis on battery safety.

The SRB 11 battery introduces a pyro fuse designed to isolate the electrical circuit within microseconds when a critical fault is detected.

It works alongside the Battery Management System, which continuously monitors individual cell voltage, temperature and current. Cell level fuses provide another layer of protection.

These are technologies more commonly associated with electric cars, and their adoption highlights how sophisticated performance electric motorcycles are becoming.

7 Inch Touchscreen and Cruise Control

The technology story continues in the cockpit.

The X 47 Venom introduces UV INTERFACE X, a new 7 inch TFT LCD touchscreen.

The motorcycle also gets Mappls powered onboard navigation, real time connectivity, software updates and cruise control.

Park Assist uses a rear camera feed to improve visibility while manoeuvring the motorcycle in tight spaces.

There is also VIOLETTE A.I., which provides connected functions including movement alerts, fall alerts, towing alerts, crash notifications and remote lockdown.

UV Hypersense Brings Radar to the X 47 Venom

One of the most interesting technologies on the X 47 Venom is the UV Hypersense radar system.

A 77 GHz rear radar can monitor traffic up to a claimed distance of 200 metres. Ultraviolette says the system has been engineered specifically around motorcycle dynamics and can compensate for changes in lean, roll and pitch.

The system supports four major functions:

  • Blind spot monitoring
  • Lane change assist
  • Overtake alert
  • Rear collision warning

The rear collision warning can also activate the motorcycle’s hazard lights to warn approaching vehicles.

Front and rear integrated dashcams further add to the technology package.

Ultraviolette X 47 Venom Colour Options

The new X 47 Venom is available in four colours according to current product information:

  • Afterburner Yellow
  • Turbo Red
  • Cosmic Black
  • Stellar White

The striking Afterburner Yellow also features on the top specification version highlighted during the launch.

Up to 8 Lakh Kilometre Warranty

Another headline figure is the extendable warranty.

Ultraviolette says the X 47 Venom offers extendable warranty coverage of up to 8,00,000 km.

The company’s official product page currently describes this as coverage of up to eight years or 8,00,000 km.

The exact terms and eligibility will be important for buyers to check, but the headline warranty figure is unusual in the electric motorcycle market.

B MAX Takes Safety Beyond the Motorcycle

Alongside the motorcycle, Ultraviolette has introduced a new rider safety vest called B MAX.

The reusable vest is claimed to offer 86 percent force attenuation and protection around the collar, back, chest, sides and hips.

It incorporates elements including a cervical brace, spinal protection, thorax chambers and an active air shield. Ultraviolette says the vest can be reused up to five times.

The introduction of rider equipment alongside radar, battery protection and connected safety features suggests that Ultraviolette wants safety to become a broader part of its brand identity rather than simply another motorcycle specification.

X 47 Venom Is Heading to Europe

The X 47 Venom is not being positioned as an India only motorcycle.

Ultraviolette says the motorcycle will make its European debut on November 3 at EICMA 2026 in Milan, Italy.

The company already exports to 20 European countries, including Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland and Hungary.

That international ambition adds another dimension to the new VX 100 platform. Ultraviolette is not merely developing it for India’s electric two wheeler market, but as a foundation for products aimed at multiple global markets.

Ultraviolette X 47 Venom Takes a Big Step Forward

The Ultraviolette X 47 Venom is important for more than its 155 kmph top speed or headline 343 km IDC range.

Its significance lies in how many parts of the electric motorcycle have changed at the same time.

The new VX 100 architecture, higher energy density battery, LIGHTFURY motor, faster thermal management, 12 kW DC charging, radar assistance and lighter construction collectively represent a major technical evolution.

At the same time, features such as cruise control, a 7 inch touchscreen, navigation, dashcams and camera assisted parking make the motorcycle easier to live with beyond outright performance.

Starting at an introductory ₹2.65 lakh for the first 5,000 customers, the Ultraviolette X 47 Venom arrives as one of India’s most technology focused electric motorcycles. More importantly, the VX 100 architecture underneath it gives us an early look at where Ultraviolette intends to take its next generation of electric two wheelers.
