TVS RTR 125 LC Unveiled at EICMA 2026: A New 125cc Streetfighter for Everyday Riding

TVS Motor Company has expanded its European motorcycle portfolio with the unveiling of the production-ready TVS RTR 125 LC at EICMA 2026 in Milan, Italy. The new 125cc motorcycle brings aggressive streetfighter styling, a liquid-cooled engine and modern connectivity features to the entry-level performance segment.

Designed for everyday commuting as well as weekend rides, the RTR 125 LC is aimed at newer riders and A1 licence holders. It combines accessible engine performance with a six-speed gearbox, ride modes and a connected TFT instrument display.

Design and Styling

The TVS RTR 125 LC features a sharp hyper-naked streetfighter design. Its muscular tank shoulders, forward-focused stance and sculpted bodywork give it an aggressive appearance, while the exposed trellis frame adds to its sporty character.

At the front, a rectangular LED projector headlamp with a distinctive daytime running light defines the motorcycle’s face. The rear gets a tri-split LED tail lamp, complemented by LED turn indicators.

The overall design gives the RTR 125 LC a compact and purposeful look, making it suitable for riders who want a sporty motorcycle for regular use.

Engine and Performance

Power comes from a 125cc, four-valve, liquid-cooled DOHC engine producing 11 kW (14.9 PS) at 9,000 rpm and 12 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm.

The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and a multiplate full-assist and slipper clutch. This setup is designed to deliver smoother gear changes and more controlled downshifts, particularly when riding through changing traffic and road conditions.

The motorcycle also gets ride modes, allowing riders to adapt its response to different riding conditions. TVS has positioned the RTR 125 LC as a lightweight performance motorcycle that balances everyday usability with a sporty riding experience.

Chassis, Suspension and Braking

The motorcycle uses TVS’s Synchro Stiff chassis, featuring a trellis frame and cast swingarm. Suspension duties are handled by a 41 mm KYB upside-down front fork and an adjustable rear monoshock.

It rides on alloy wheels with a 100/80-17 front tyre and a wider 140/70-R17 rear tyre.

Braking hardware includes a 300 mm front disc with a radially mounted Bybre caliper and a 240 mm rear disc with a Bybre caliper. Dual-channel ABS is also part of the package, adding another layer of braking assistance.

Features and Connectivity

One of the key highlights of the TVS RTR 125 LC is its 5-inch TFT instrument display with multiway Bluetooth connectivity.

The display supports full-screen map mirroring and turn-by-turn navigation, allowing riders to follow directions without relying entirely on a smartphone screen. The motorcycle also gets a hazard lamp for added convenience.

Together with its ride modes and dual-channel ABS, these features give the RTR 125 LC a technology-focused package in the 125cc segment.
